Once you join Virtual Elves, our primary goal is to connect you with clients whose needs align with your skills and experience. Here’s how the matching process works:

  1. Profile Creation: The first step is to create a detailed profile that highlights your skills, experience, and areas of expertise. This profile is crucial as it helps us understand your strengths and preferences.
  2. Client Needs Assessment: We continually receive requests from clients seeking various services. Each client’s needs are assessed based on their specific requirements, project scope, and preferred working style.
  3. Human Touch: While technology aids the process, our experienced team reviews each match to ensure compatibility. This human touch ensures that both the client and the VA are set up for a successful collaboration.

Waiting Time

The waiting time to be matched with a client can vary based on several factors:

  • Demand for Skills: The demand for certain skills fluctuates, so if your expertise is in high demand, the waiting period might be shorter. Conversely, niche skills might take longer to match with specific client needs.
  • Client Preferences: Clients often have specific preferences regarding the experience level, time zone, and working hours of the VA, which can impact the waiting time.
  • Market Dynamics: The current market trends and the volume of client requests at any given time can influence the matching speed.

While it is challenging to provide an exact timeframe, on average, most VAs are matched with clients within a few weeks. However, this period can vary. Rest assured, our team is dedicated to finding the best possible match for you as quickly as possible.

  • Skill Enhancement: Take this time to enhance your skills or learn new ones. Virtual Elves often provide resources and training opportunities to help you grow. You can request access to our FREE TRAINING site from our Recruitment team. Once this is completed, a certification will be given that can be added to the portfolio of the VA.
  • Profile Updates: Regularly update your profile with any new skills or experiences. A well-maintained profile can increase your chances of a quicker match.
  • Engage with the Community: Join our VA community forums or social media groups. Networking with fellow VAs can provide support, and insights, and even lead to faster matches through referrals.

What is the advantage of being in the VE candidate active pool?

Should a candidate pass all the requirements, it will be easier for Virtual Elves to send the profile to possible clients and not go through the recruitment process again. However, there might be some test tasks that might be asked from time to time as the client’s requirements vary, as mentioned above.

A candidate can have the opportunity to work with clients, as follows:

  • Adhoc (5 to 10hrs/wk) – a max of 3 clients for 1 VA
  • Part-time (20 to 30hrs/wk) – 2 clients for 1 VA
  • Full-time (30 to 40hrs/wk) – 1 client for 1 VA

Attitude plays a very important role for a VA. Performance is evaluated based on the VA skills and above all, the attitude. As the saying goes, Skills can be learned, but a great attitude is always the fire that leads to success’, this is true as it has been tried and tested within our team.
